BUSINESS IS STALLING, CALL IN AN EXPERT"

A little expertise goes
a long way. Suzanne Kinsman from KR Consulting, a recruitment consultancy
specialising in temporary and permanent employment, has focused
on the advice of Samperi Consulting Group to develop and grow the
business. Samperi Consulting Group specialises in Business Efficiency
and has more than 20 years' experience working in different office
environments and industries in Australia, the UK and Canada.
"We knew that by
bringing in an expert and coupling this with internal analysis we
would make the right changes the first time around, allowing us
to get on and continue to grow the business," Kinsman says.
The initial analysis conducted
by Samperi pinpointed key areas in order to assist KR Consulting
with the constant changes in the recruitment industry and future
growth. To assist with the process, both short- and long-term business
goals were devised to create change within a set time frame.
"Learning about the
key concerns and experiences of both employers and employees helps
to uncover the core operational frustrations of the business, which
allows a clear identification of the opportunities and issues that
need to be addressed and/or reviewed" Samperi Consulting Group's
Karina Samperi says.
Samperi zeroed in on various
ways to sharpen KR Consulting's efficiency. Delegating jobs by documenting
duties and systems, as well as standardising communication and computing
systems was essential. A larger staff required more skilled management
so group and one-on-one coaching sessions with the directors were
provided. Decreasing paperwork was also essential. Following the
introduction of a standardised system for letters and forms, operations
ran more smoothly and resources were freed up.
"We could see the
immediate improvement in work flow and its effects on morale, and
by the end of the project, Samperi Consulting Group had helped us
achieve profit increases of over 30 per cent per annum," Kinsman
says. Perhaps the best way to improve a business on the inside is
taking a look at it from the outside.
